SBB Management Company will be sending out annual assessments statements by the 15th of December. Included in your statement will be a copy of the 2016 Approved Budget which includes an increase in the assessment amount, along with an introductory letter from SBB. Linda, we were very excited about the opportunity to build a village in McKinney Green, creating a grand entrance for the east side of Mckinney. We remain enthusiastic about the possibility of working with your community in the future, however we are declining to move forward with this project for a host of reasons. If some key factors changed in the near future, we would welcome the opportunity to revisit working with your group. As your community continues to plan for the future if there is anything that I can do to assist you I would be very happy to do so. I have enjoyed working with you and the board on this project and have the utmost respect for how you have represented your community and helped me in the process. Your professionalism has been exemplary. It has been a pleasure meeting with you and the homeowners and I wish the best for each of you in planning for the future of McKinney Green.

The goal of the board is to report accurate information to homeowners once it has been verified.
The final confirmed list of agenda items for the December 8th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was posted by the City of McKinney on Wednesday at noon. As Blackard Global did not meet the 3 p.m. deadline on November 18th to submit the requested changes from the Planning Department they will not be a part of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for December 8th. The next Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled for January 12, 2016 as the December 22, 2015 meeting has been cancelled. Blackard Global has until December 14, 2015 to submit the requested changes to be included on the agenda for the January 12, 2016 meeting.
We encourage all homeowners to make plans to attend the January 12th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

Due to the ongoing association member confusion and misinformation regarding resident rights, board meeting protocol, meeting/agenda notice and governing documents and state law, the board is going to take step back and cancel the November 19, 2015 business meeting of the board. Residents need to understand that it's a privilege rather than a right to attend the Open Forums of the business meetings of the Board. Moving forward the board will no longer provide advance notice but follow the letter of the Texas State Law for meeting notice and posting of the agenda. Effective September 1, 2015, the laws for notice for HOA board meetings have changed and MGHOA will follow this legislature update. Click Full Story to read the complete notice.

The board met with Jeff Blackard the last week of October, he is moving forward with his contract to purchase the golf course and has filed the re-zoning with the City of McKinney Case #15-290Z. The filing to rezone only affects the property south of Stewart, the planning and zoning meeting is scheduled for December 8th and City Council for January 5th.
As the 18 hole golf course option has not come to fruition at this time, the board has given support to Mr. Blackard for the 9 hole concept contingent on his providing a legal document that addresses and confirms several outstanding issues.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) was conducted for a new landscaping firm, responses have been received and will be the first priority for SBB our new Management Company to review and rank those that responded as well as schedule interviews with the board and make recommendations. We hope to have the final decision made by January 1, 2016.

There has been some confusion on the survey results. Everyone was given the opportunity to rank the five options in order of preference or not rank an option if they opposed it. Therefore the percentages shown in the rankings reflect those rankings. Each ranking is separate so the percentages will not total 100% as each ranking is independent. To clarify, of the 101 surveys received 89 of those surveys ranked the 9-Hole course as an option. Click Full Story for details.

SBB Management Company would like to make a formal announcement of the election results from the recent July 29th Annual Meeting Reconvene. At the meeting we had 59 homes that were represented in person and 84 by proxy. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the candidates and the members of the community who took part in this election process. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the elections committee who oversaw the counting of the votes on Thursday, July 30, 2015.
